In an hour by catamaran, the Split – Bol crossing drops you on the south coast of Brač, a few minutes' walk from Zlatni Rat — the "golden horn", the shingle spit that shifts shape with the currents and is probably the most photographed beach in Croatia. Going by sea from Split avoids the detour via Supetar in the north of the island and the mountain road across it: you arrive straight on the right side. Kapetan Luka (Krilo) catamarans carry passengers only. The route is seasonal and in heavy demand in July and August, so book early. Compare Split – Bol times on VoilaFerry.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the Split – Bol crossing?
About an hour by fast catamaran, straight to the south coast of Brač.
Why not go via Supetar?
Supetar is on the north side of Brač, so you then cross the island by mountain road to reach Bol in the south. The direct catamaran saves that detour.
Is Zlatni Rat beach near the port?
Yes, about twenty minutes on foot from the Bol landing stage, following the seafront.
Can I bring a car?
Not on this catamaran. For a vehicle, take the Split – Supetar ferry then drive across to Bol.
Does it run all year?
No, it is seasonal and concentrated in summer. Check your exact date in the search before planning.
